Dr. Emily A. Bowman D.C.

Meet the doctor

Dr. Emily was born and raised in the Tomahawk community and is excited to be back and caring for the community. She received her bachelors degree in Exercise & Sports Science from the University of Minnesota Duluth. While in Duluth she became a member of the National Ski Patrol, combining her love for skiing with the ability to help people. She also used her skills to help out at youth sporting events, caring for any athletes who may have been injured. Dr. Emily went on to receive her chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic.

During her time at Palmer Dr. Emily was involved in many different clubs on campus including the pediatrics club and activator club. There were so many great topics covered she went to what ever club had a topic of interest. While in the Palmer Clinics she got to work with a wide variety of patients. One of the unique things about Davenport Iowa is that there is a military base right on the Mississippi. She got to care for a lot of military members while in the clinic. Dr . Emily completed her internship at Rumsey Chiropractic in town which opened the door to purchase the practice as doctors Buddy and Kim transition to retirement in late 2018.

Dr. Emily married her husband Clint in 2014, right before starting chiropractic school. They are both very excited to be able to raise their family in the town they grew up in! They have a daughter and two fur kids. A fat cat named Precious and an English Springer Spaniel named Rumor. Rumor is so spoiled she even gets chiropractic care! If you’re looking for an animal chiropractor Dr. Emily has an excellent referral. Unfortunately in Wisconsin you either have to be a veterinarian or under direct supervision of one to adjust animals.

Dr. Amanda J. Bohn D.C.

MEET THE DOCTOR

Dr. Amanda was born and raised in central Wisconsin.  Her chiropractic journey began when she received a coupon for an initial exam with x-rays free of charge while in undergrad.  When she returned to the office for her report of findings appointment, she learned that the curve in her cervical spine had started to reverse and began receiving adjustments.

Over time, she felt relief from frequent illness, constant headaches, menstrual cramps and occasional ear aches, among other things.  Dr. Amanda was hooked.  After seeing how far she had come, looking back, Dr. Amanda often wonders where she would be today and what life would be like had she not begun chiropractic care.

After graduating in the top 3% of her high school class, she went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in Neuroscience in May, 2007.  Dr. Amanda then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA, beginning in July, 2009.  During her time at Palmer, she was heavily involved in Student Council and became Student Council President her last year of school.

Dr. Amanda completed graduation requirements a trimester early and spent her last trimester in a Quad City chiropractic office to gain experience, graduating in October, 2012.  She gained invaluable extracurricular education and experience with pediatrics and pregnancy, taking over 300 hours of courses from the International College of Chiropractic Pediatrics.  Dr. Amanda was also Activator Certified with an Advanced Proficiency Rating in instrument adjusting, and she also practices hands-on techniques of Diversified, Gonstead, Flexion-Distraction, myofascial release, extremities and many others.

She is the oldest of three siblings, with a younger sister and brother.  In her school years, she was an all season athlete in volleyball, basketball, softball and cheerleading. She enjoys giving back to the community, volunteering for various organizations, such as Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army and other local non-profits.

Dr. Amanda was a devoted mom to two young children, ages 5 & 3, who gained their angel wings after a family tragedy.  Though her babies were taken early in their life, they continue to motivate her to live each day in their loving memory by serving the needs of children and families helping them live to their healthiest potential.

RUMOR

OUR OFFICIAL OFFICE GREETER!

Dr. Emily’s fur child is a daily visitor to the office and takes her job very seriously! You will be greeted by her upon entering and pestered for attention while you’re on the table. Don’t worry, if you are not a dog person she is very respectful and can easily be tucked out of the way while you are here.

Rumor has been under chiropractic care since she was 6 months old. She loves her adjustments! If you are in need of a referral for your pet she will be happy to share where she goes.

Rumor has a sensitive tummy, please do not bring her treats! We have a stash for her behind the front desk.
